De Sony FS5 is het kleine broertje van de Sony FS7.
De camera is klein in omvang maar bevat professionele eigenschappen die het verschil maken ten opzichte van spiegelreflex- en systeemcamera's.
Hij heeft dezelfde sensor als de FS7, maar de menu-structuur is anders opgebouwd.
De Sony FS5 heeft een traploze ingebouwde elektronische Vari ND. Hij heeft een Sony E-mount, maar we hebben ook Metabones EF mounts en een Vocas PL-mount die erop kunnen voor meer lensopties.
De FS5 kan opnemen in 4K en HD. In HD kan de FS5 opnemen t/m maximaal 240 FPS.
