  • When you want to rent something from Het Raam for the first time, we would like for you to familiarise yourself with us. We are interested in knowing more about the project you want to rent equipment for. Additionally, we want to be certain that the equipment is in good hands when it comes from our premises. When picking up the equipment for the first time at Het Raam, bring your pin card, because you must pay the rental costs beforehand.
    If you have already rented from us before, you can just call us to state what you wish to rent. We then reserve the equipment for you, or put you on the waiting list if it is already rented by someone else.
    Checklist for first timers:
    -Identification (Identiteitsbewijs)
    -Chamber of Commerce registration (copy)
    -Debit card (Pinpas)
    If you have already rented from us before, you can just call us to state what you wish to rent. We then reserve the equipment for you, or put you on the waiting list if it is already rented by someone else.
  • Of course! Everyone at Het Raam is a certified cameraman/woman, and can provide you with advice from the many experiences they have gained from working on set. From Monday through Friday between 09:00 and 18:00 hours we can be reached at 020-6374757.
  • Under a rental day, we mean a 24 hour rental-- we always calculate from 9:00 in the morning. Often times, however, you can pick up the equipment the afternoon before, if it is available. Let us know immediately if you fail to return the equipment again in the morning otherwise we extend the rental period automatically by a day. If you are renting a product for longer than a day, you get quantity discount:
    2-3 days; 15%
    4-5 days; 20%
    6-7 days; 25%

  • Yes. With a lock key you can put stuff outside office hours in our lock. This key you can get when you come to collect the equipment. You are responsible for the key, and you are not allowed under any circumstances to give it to third parties. Please let us know immediately when the key is stolen or lost so we can deactivate it. 
  • Yes, that is possible, and up to 48 hours before delivery its even free of charge. For an annulment up to 24 hours before start of the rental period, we charge 15% of the total rent amount. If cancelling 24 hours or less in advance, we charge 50% of the rent amount. If you cancel on the day itself, we must unfortunately charge the full rental amount. If we have to hold something for you when another customer also wants it in the same period, we ask you to confirm your booking. After that , you cannot cancel anymore.
  • When equipment is returned to us, we thoroughly check whether everything is still working properly as it should--a checkup is also carried out before every rental. However, before the items leave Het Raam, you are responsible for checking and testing that the equipment is working properly and matches your specific needs. Even then, it can happen that when you arrive at your shooting location something is not functioning properly. Contact us immediately!
  • Give us a call! Sometimes we can manage to provide a solution by phone. If that doesn't work, we will try as best we can to get you a replacement. This service can not be guaranteed however, for example, when a production is shooting in a remote location.
  • We have already insured all of our equipment for use in Europe. If you damage something all costs in excess of €1,500 are covered. Smaller amounts are charged to you. For theft or loss, an excess price of €2,500 is charged.
    For travel outside Europe you will pay 5% insurance (mandatory). Let us know right away if you happened to damage something. Thus, we can provide a replacement for your production or the next.
